Northern Rivers region is the most north-easterly region of NSW and encompasses Byron Bay and the catchments and fertile valleys of the Clarence, Richmond and Tweed. The region is well known for its beaches, the caldera surrounding Mt Wollumbin, sub-tropical rainforests, and alternative lifestyles. Despite its regional nature, the region has attracted many individuals working with Steiner’s spiritual science and its daughter movements: doctors, etheric massage practitioners, Anthroposophical Naturopaths, artists and art therapists, Steiner school teachers, Eurythmists, an Astrosophist, Speech formation teacher, architect and biodynamic gardeners.

The local branch is active and growing, surrounded by four Steiner schools, a monthly programme of talks and workshops and regular First Class meetings in Mullumbimby and in Cawongla.
